Inner Sight

Spiritual-Eye-Life-is-but-a-dream

The third eye or the divine eye as it is sometimes called, is located in the mid-point between the eyes. Many esoteric and spiritual traditions, among them Mahayana Buddhism and Taoism, have practices devoted to opening and perceiving enlightened wisdom through the third eye.

When the third eye is open and activated it becomes possible to see with psychic vision. The psychic ability of clairvoyance emanates through the third eye. This is the ability to receive energy information through figurative, symbolic and realistic images. An important psychic tool, clairvoyance empowers you to perceive the past, present and future through images and visions.

Unlike physical eye sight, clairvoyant sight is not always three dimensional and true to physical form. Images may be symbolic, metaphoric, cartoon like, flat or full of color and movement. Clairvoyant sight might also not be highly visual. Images can be intuitively sensed, known and felt. This might not initially seem to make much sense. Through our physical senses the nose smells, the ears hear and the eyes see. Psychic senses are more intertwined and often rely on one another to interpret energy information in a way that we can fully understand.
Be careful not to ignore and pass over clairvoyant images if they surface in an unexpected way. Many people become frustrated when they do not readily perceive clear visual images when beginning to develop clairvoyance. For some, the expectation is to clairvoyantly see in the same way that the physical eyes see. However, instead of initially seeing an image, some may intuitively know what an images looks like. Others may intuitively feel an image. It is even possible to become aware of an image through inwardly hearing what it looks like.
If you experience these kinds of images, do not dismiss or disregard them. Pay attention to what you receive and allow your psychic senses to converge and flow into one another. As you do this, they begin to work together and to provide accurate and understandable information.

Grateful For Divine Diversity

autumn-wind-song-4-winds-youtube              As I watch the wind scatter the leaves outside my window, I’m reminded of how much I love this time of year. The brisk cool mornings, the dusky slant of the sun in the late afternoon and the cascade of leaves in the sunny breeze that looks like gold falling from the sky.

When I was young, I never quite understood the meaning of Thanksgiving. Sure, it was about food, family, and pilgrim school plays and turkey, but I always felt that I was missing something or that I should be feeling something that I wasn’t. It was not until I got older that my appreciation of Thanksgiving transitioned from food to gratitude and I could grasp its significance. Now in this, my favorite time of the year, I celebrate the wondrous power and presence of the invisible Spirit that churns out all that I need, even when I’m not looking for it.

This happened to me yesterday as I was working on my latest book. When I don’t know what to write, which tends to be most of the time. I ask spirit to write through me. Of course, this is where the best comes from.

As I was writing, this sentence popped out on the page surprising me:

We are all living in the same energy of love, We’re just separated by how we experience it.

As I re-read the sentence, a panorama spread out in front of me and I saw the vast diversity that populates the planet. From the change of seasons, the varied climates and animal life and natural wonders, the earth is an ever-changing kaleidoscope. We humans are no exception. The color of our skin varies, we speak different languages, we call the Divine by different names and we have different versions of right and wrong. We are each living a somewhat different reality and yet, we are all connected by the cord of love.

Like a masterful symphony, we only come into harmony when we are free to be ourselves and celebrate our differences. This year among many other things, I’m grateful for the unlimited variety through which divine beauty and love is expressed.

If you want to know and feel the Divine Presence and be close to the creative force of the all that is, see the hope, wisdom, inspiration and joy in our differences. Instead of allowing fear to take hold of your heart, knock the fences down and allow the odd, repelling and strange to creep onto your threshold. Take a good look until you find, sense and feel the love that flows through this stranger. It might be a person of a different race, culture or belief system. Diversity also shows up in new ideas, perspectives or ways to live our life and perceive ourselves.

Creation runs in every direction and this is one of the ways that the unfathomable power of the Divine is expressed. The thread that binds everything together is love and we can’t know peace until we discover it in what we shy away from, whoever and whatever that might be.
